Jakarta Governor, Anies Baswedan received a warm welcome for his visit at the Hian Thian Siang Tee Bio Temple on Jalan Gelora IX, RT 02/02, Gelora Urban Village, Tanah Abang, Central Jakarta, on Tuesday (2/1). The caretakers and congregation of the temple looked happy and proud to be visited by the number one person in Jakarta.

Indra Gunawan (72), Vice Chairman for Hian Thian Siang Tee Bio Temple revealed, it was the most precious moment for the caretakers and the congregation who attended as the Governor was celebrating Imlek (Chinese New Year) with them.
"I feel honored and happy to see him at our temple. Moreover, so far, we have never been visited by Jakarta high-ranking officials. He comes and joins us to celebrate Chinese New Year, even though there are still many big temples that he can visit. Surely, this is an honor for us," he expressed.

Kevin Charles (20), a Confucian from Riau who is one of the congregations of this temple, also expressed a sense of pride and happiness. He admitted, he was happy to see the Governor who has a high sense of tolerance as a leader.
"Today, he comes to celebrate Chinese New Year with us. This is an example for us, to respect each other with religious differences in Indonesia," he admitted.
